Company formation

In the early 1950s, Franz List sen. (2nd from left) founded a small furniture workshop in Aspang, Lower Austria. List GC has been family-owned since the company was founded and is constantly being driven forward by the distinct pioneering and entrepreneurial spirit of the List family. In the 1980s, Reinhard List followed in his father’s footsteps and List GC initially positioned itself as an exclusive interior outfitter for hotels, river and cruise ships and finally established itself on the global market for luxurious yachts and private residences.

The List family

From a small, medium-sized carpentry business to a global company – the List family has always stood for the combination of tradition and innovation. Today, the third generation of the family is represented in the umbrella organization List Holding GmbH, which represents the interests of the owner family and guides all strategic issues of the group. Theresa Ludwiger-List, together with her father DI Reinhard List, forms the management team of List Holding GmbH and her brother Bertram List works in the area of Business Development & Innovation. In addition, Bertram List is Managing Director of Yuniti Innovations GmbH, a sister company of List GC and also part of the List Holding GmbH. Executive Board

List GC is led by the Executive Board of Christian Bolinger and Josef Payerhofer (From left to right). With their excellent industry knowledge, they form a perfectly coordinated and experienced team. Both have impressively demonstrated their specific expertise in the exclusive interior sector for yachts and residences throughout their careers.

Cohrs Werkstätten

By merging with the German family business Cohrs Werkstätten GmbH in Bad Fallingbostel, Germany, in 2022 we not only increase the production capacity, but also receive additional highly trained and specialized professionals. With the extensive expertise of Cohrs in the market segment of exclusive private residences we also strengthen the expansion of this important business area. (f.l.t.r. Josef Payerhofer

The trained carpenter with a Master's certificate began his professional career at List over 30 years ago. Before joining the management of List General Contractor in the summer of 2005, he demonstrated leadership qualities as the department head of the "on water" division. A year after he became an authorised officer, he was appointed Managing Director in the fall of 2006. In the management team, Josef Payerhofer initially focused on sales and project execution, and from 2016 onwards, he took responsibility for the company's central value-adding areas. In September 2022, he was also appointed Managing Director of Cohrs Werkstätten GmbH, and in July 2023, he became the Managing Director of Riederle Werkstätten GmbH, both subsidiaries of List General Contractor.

Christian Bolinger

The Bachelor of Engineering in Yacht and Powercraft Design began his career at List General Contractor in 2016 as Head of Sales & Service and has since demonstrated his excellent industry knowledge. He is active worldwide for List GC and is significantly responsible for the completion of numerous yacht and residential projects. In November 2020, the sales professional was promoted to the management team. In September 2022, he was also appointed Managing Director of Cohrs Werkstätten GmbH, and in July 2023, he became the Managing Director of Riederle Werkstätten GmbH, both subsidiaries of List General Contractor.

Riederle Werkstätten

Through the acquisition of the family business Martin Riederle GmbH in Burgau, Bavaria/GER, which will be operated under the name of Riederle Werkstätten GmbH, List GC further strengthens its presence in the international market.

Riederle Werkstätten

With the takeover of the German family-owned company Cohrs Werkstätten GmbH in Bad Fallingbostel, Germany, in 2022, we not only gained additional production capacities but also benefit from highly trained and specialized professionals. The extensive expertise of Cohrs in the market segment of exclusive private residences further strengthens the expansion of this important business area.
